Our Sustainability Goals

At Cardno ID, we are committed to operating sustainably, responsibly, and in a way that creates positive impact for clients, communities and our people. Since 2018, we have been a participant of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), committing ourselves to collaboratively work towards the universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.

Commitment to Safeguarding

As an international corporation engaged by our clients to deliver projects in emerging markets, Cardno ID has a particular responsibility to operate ethically and protect the health, safety, and well-being of everyone who is encompassed within the scope of our business. This includes our staff, beneficiaries, and the communities we work in. We are particularly mindful of the impact our programs may have on children, women and vulnerable adults.

As we work to create lasting, positive change through our programs, we are also ensuring that nobody is harmed as a result of our activities. We commit to creating and supporting an organisational culture where safeguarding is a priority, adopting a survivor-centred approach which prioritises the rights, needs, and wishes of the victim/survivor, while ensuring procedural fairness to all parties.

All Cardno ID personnel, sub-contractors, and grantees are required to report any suspected or actual breaches of our Safeguards Policy. Reporting can be made confidentially to the Safeguarding Lead.

Modern Slavery

A core component of this commitment is identifying and counteracting modern slavery in global supply chains with the goal of ending modern slavery. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all business dealings and relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in Cardno ID’s businesses or in any of our supply chains.
